I just received an email asking me to represent Brantford at the Provincials (Music competition) in June....I was going to do it for sure, until I found out that it's on the same day as my graduation! :(:(:(
So I need some opinions..what do you think I should do???
If only...
The competition would be amazing to actually do and be a part of! (All nerves aside, of course.) It's a sweet opportunity. But grad might be more enjoyable, in the respect that you don't have to perform on the piano.
ReplyDeleteI would send an email to the provincial folks and let them know your situation - Grad is pretty significant! If they're not interested in helping, it might help your decision

ok, so I think what I'm going to do is graduate. Provincials is an amazing opportunity I know, but I think if went, I would have a hard time focusing only on my piece..knowing that I could be graduating (as well as my sister)..we'll see what next year brings for piano :)
ReplyDeleteI think you should go to the Provincials. Graduating is just a ceremony, besides we're homeschooler we can do what we want and we could do a grad ceremony just for you on another day with lots of yummy foods.
ReplyDeleteSomeone once asked me the question, 'In five years, which will you wish you had done?'... might be worth some thought.
there's always more competitions, but you only get one chance to graduate with Cheryl :)you'll never be in high school again but piano is something you can do the rest of your life.
ReplyDeleteyou don't have to do the Provincials to prove that you're good anyways :)

Provincials are not likely to change their schedule for you. It's more likely that the homeschool group will though. ;)
